Dr. Khot has extensive experience spanning Environmental Monitoring and Clinical Microbiology. He is passionate about developing microbial diagnostics to improve product quality and patient care. He has successfully led numerous projects to evaluate, develop, and implement microbial diagnostic assays based on MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry, nucleic acid amplification, DNA sequencing, cell viability indicators, spectroscopy, and data analytics in regulated environments. Dr. Khot earned his PhD from the University of Utah and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in molecular diagnostics of infectious diseases at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle. Before joining Charles River, he worked as a Research Scientist in the Clinical Microbiology Division at ARUP Laboratories, Salt Lake City (a national clinical and anatomic pathology reference laboratory).
