Dr. Khot has over fourteen years of experience working with microbial diagnostics spanning environmental monitoring and clinical microbiology. During this period, he has successfully led numerous projects to evaluate, develop, and implement microbial diagnostic assays based on MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry, nucleic acid amplification, DNA sequencing, cell viability indicators, spectroscopy, and data analytics in regulated environments. Currently, he is responsible for driving scientific growth of the Accugenix® microbial identification business with focus on MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and is an evaluator of new technologies. Dr. Khot earned his PhD from the University of Utah and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in molecular diagnostics of infectious diseases at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Seattle. Before joining Charles River, he worked as a Research Scientist for the Clinical Microbiology Division at ARUP Laboratories, Salt Lake City (a national clinical and anatomic pathology reference laboratory).
