Ann Murray, RLATG
Ann graduated from Newbury College in Boston MA with a Veterinary Technology degree. She worked in clinical veterinary practice for three years then joined Georgetown University Research Resources Facility in Washington DC. With increasing responsibilities ranging from technical and operations management to oversight of the Animal Core Facility for Vincent T. Lombardi Cancer Center, she served as the liaison coordinator for all in vivo studies at the Lombardi Cancer Center. In her role, she interfaced with Study Directors and Principal Investigators ensuring compliance in all facets of technical, managerial, operational and study support implementation and execution. In 1999, she accepted a position as an Operations Specialist with Pathology Associates International/Charles River Laboratories. In 2001, her scope of responsibility expanded and currently is the Director of Business Development and Marketing for Charles River Insourcing Solutions. Ann has served on a variety of Industry-related committees for the local and national branches of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS), as well as serving as the Past President and currently Secretary for the Society of Laboratory Animal Veterinary Technicians. She has held the Board of Trustee position for AALAS in District 3. She currently serves as a Deputy for the Academy of Laboratory Animal Veterinary Technicians and Nurses, and is a member of the Laboratory Animal Management Association Education Committee and the National AALAS Awards Committee.
