Since its inception in 1986, over 5,000 lab animal professionals have participated in the annual short course sponsored by Charles River Laboratories. This year, the four-day event will be held June 16-19 in Newton and include 60 talks ranging from social housing and lab animal allergies to troubleshooting production in transgenic colonies. Along with current hot topics such as animal transportation you can find basic talks on the care of laboratory mice and rats. Hear Ken Henderson, Director of Research and Development within Research Animal Diagnostic Services (shown on  left), and William White, the Corporate Vice President of Veterinary Professional Services at Charles River discourse about why this course  is like no other in the field of animal lab science.
